Abstract

The gear box has an automatic gear change mechanism and an input shaft which connects with two clutches. The two clutches are concentric and each consists of a number of friction plates, operated by means of hydraulic pressure. The hydraulic cylinders are mounted concentrically on a housing which has a cylindrical portion supported by a housing. The supply pipes to the cylinders connect with passages all of which are integral within the casing. The gearbox has an internal radial space, and a cylindrical portion integral with the input shaft.
