Abstract

An identification label or tag for single wires or groups of such. The label can be fitted over a range of cable dia. and be fitted from above or from the side. The label is in two parts one of which is attached directly to the wire or wiring. The second part carries on its upper surface the identification figure or mark (2). The attachment of the label (1) to its base is by two locating pegs and two side wedges (8, 9) which snap fit into the base. The base is secured to the cable by a circular slot (24) opening at the base or to one side. A positive grip is maintained on varying cable sizes by two thin flexible blades entering the slot.
