Abstract

A method of retaining a powdered hydrophilic substance between the panes of double glazed window, houses the powder inside a special package. This package enables the powder to be positioned at the top, where moisture is more likely to collect thus improving the efficiency of the powder. The package consists of an open topped elongated plastics container (1) with a tongue (4) extending outwards from each end of the base. The two top edges are flanged inwards so as to retain a cardboard lid (3), which is sufficiently porous to allow moisture to pass through, and which retains the powder. Each tongue has a screw hole for attaching to the window frame.
