Abstract

A protection device is for guide pulleys of cable ways. The guide pulley (P) is carried on a shaft (a) at the end of a support (PO) of a tower (P). In one part of the groove (g) of the pulley (P) is housed the cable (C). On this can be fitted and removed devices to help on severe gradients. To prevent losing the cable (Ce from the groove (g) there are teeth which may be moved relative to the pulley. These teeth are arranged along the edges (b) of the groove (g) and are separate and solid with, in effect, an endless buckle. In this way, several teeth are always near the contact zone of the cable (C) and the groove (g).
