Abstract

The central control unit is for electric storage heaters, it has a day and night control to reduce the temperature in the building at night or when its occupants have gone home as, e.g. in offices and schools. The daytime control of room temperature is effected by a 12 hour clock (11), and there is a day and night clock which responds to preset times, e.g. 8am, 4pm, and intervenes in the 12 hour programme at these times to switch the heating over to its lower or higher temperature setting.
