Abstract

An external self cleaning mirror on a vehicle has an electric motor (4) powered by the vehicle battery, mounted inside the housing, to rotate the reflective disc (3) for cleaning it. This motor is mounted inside a sleeve (5) so that it can be easily removed and replaced for maintenance, and is retained by a screw (10). This screw passes through a vertical hole in the casing, and can be fitted with a lock nut (11). The power supply leads (6, 7) pass through a hollow sleeve also passing vertically through the casing, behind the motor. This also can be fitted with a lock nut (14).
