Abstract

The developer fluid spreading unit for self-developing film employs a pair of elongate rollers (38, 40), with the film passed through the nip between them. The support (42) for one of the rollers (40) has a sliding support (44, 46) for the second roller (38) so as to guide the movement of the second roller (38) towards and away from the first (40). The rollers (38,40) are biased together by a spring element (48) which has a central section (98) and two sets of leaf elements (100, 102, 104; 106, 108, 110) on opposite sides acting on the respective supports (42, 44, 46) for the two rollers (38, 40).
