Abstract

Fertiliser dosage unit consists of cardboard, paper or blotting paper impregnated with water-sol. fertiliser to give a soln. of the right strength when the card is immersed in H2O. The card can be printed, e.g. with advertising material or instructions on plant care.. In an example, a soln of 400g/1 (at 18 degrees C) of 21-7-21 fertiliser was used to impregnae blotting paper of density 160g/m2. This absorbed 3cc of liq. for a surface of 105x 65mm, giving 1.2g fertiliser, which is correct for 1 l. of H2O.
