Abstract

The stepped arrangement of cages (2-7) for small animals or birds is mounted on a frame (8) made of angle sections (9) fixed at an oblique angle to each other. The beams (9) are joined in pairs by top beams (11,12) to form a trestle stand (22). The beams (9) are also joined by lengthwise bars (10) on the long sides (20,21) of the battery. Between two adjacent double struts (22) are suspended prefabricated sets of cages (25). The lengthwise struts (10) have slits at their ends (41,-42), which fit over corresponding pins on the uprights (9). The sloping beams (9) and the top crossbeams (12) have double hooks (13) for hanging the cages (25). The floors (27) of the cages (25) are above the level of the lengthwise struts (10).
