Abstract

A radar system with active frequency is described which has a magnetron, a local oscillator, and a system for locking the frequency of the local oscillator to that of the magnetron. The locking system comprises a system for pre-positioning the frequency of the oscillator first before the emission of pulses and a system for rectifying the frequency of the oscillator first after the pulse emission. The frequency pre-positioning system has an oscillator (OL1), a system which produces a frequency pre-positioning command voltage which follows the same variation with time as that followed by the frequency of the emitted pulses, and a servoloop which locks the frequency of the local oscillator (OL2) onto that of the oscillator (OL1) with a frequency shift.
