Abstract
In the TV SECAM colourcoded signal system, the method comprises the steps of evaluating the test signal by a line line sequential selection of colour carrier frequency signal components in the area of a selected colour bar in the colour bar test signal. Amplitude and frequency evaluation of the selected colour carrier frequency signal components and then made w.r.t. the nominal values laid down in SECAM standard. Previously found actual values of the selected signal components of an alphanumerical display unit are then displayed.
