Abstract

In the control and monitoring device, the flame monitoring circuit is designed for great sensitivity, and this circuit only assumes a normal sensitivity adapted to the flame by application of a voltage to an additional connection (11). This additional connection (11) is connected to the line (13) leading to the fuel feed member (MV). Consequently, an inspection for stray light during the pre-ignition period is possible with greater sensitivity. In one version, a switch (P1) of a time relay (P) can be locked in its working position by a lock (FL) which is to be actuated by the armature of the flame relay (F) in the event of the presence of the flame, and its working contact (b) is connected both to the fuel feed member (MV) and to the additional connection (11).
