Abstract

The skis (1) are placed on the ground in the form of a V with the front ends (3) at the vertex and pointing downwards. The ends (3) are fitted into a pocket (8) in the corner of a triangular canvas sheet (4). The other corners of the sheet are supported on the ends of the ski-stocks (7) arranged to form a cross. The lower ends of the ski-stocks (7) fit into sockets (10) attached to the skis (1). Cords attached to eyes fitted to the ends of the skis (1) and to the fittings (14) induce tension in the canvas sheet (4). The skier can thus be supported in a reclining position.
