Abstract

The door frame has a wall lining (1), a rebate covering (2) adjoining said lining at right angles, a decorative lining (5) covering the wall lining, and a decorative covering (4). The dimension of the door rebate is determined by the offset between the surface of the decorative lining (5) and that surface of the decorative covering (2) running parallel to the decorative lining. In order to achieve a similar offset with respect to the decorative covering of the door frame, the wall lining (1) has a groove (1b) which is open towards the decorative covering (4) and into which there are introduced a leg (4a) of the decorative covering (4) and a rearwardly extending leg (5a) of the decorative lining (5). By cutting out a portion on the wall lining (1) and correspondingly cutting back a portion on the decorative lining (5), the door frame can be adapted to any wall thickness.
