Abstract

The modular seat is for transport vehicles and consists of two half shells (1) (2). To allow assembly, the front and rear edges (3) (4) have an inwards opening to co-operate with a bent edge (5). At seat level the outer border (6) is almost vertical and with a border (7) supports an assembly of a rigid plate (8) and cover (9). There is a fixing piece (13) and below it a head part (14) and a tongue and hole fixing. There are arm rest frames (20) made of reversed U section fixed on the seat edges (6) and these may be screwed on. The whole seat is fitted on a central pillar support.
