Abstract

The continuous measuring system, for a fluid circulating in a conduit, employs a flowmeter, which supplies pulses at a frequency representing the flow rate to a frequency comparator. The latter receives a reference frequency from a frequency synthesizer, to obtain the difference frequency, which is supplied to a stepping motor for adjustment of a flow control element. The frequency synthesiser may be controlled by digital input data, or by a variable pilot frequency dependent on the position of a detection element monitoring a variable parameter. The detection element may be positioned ahead of the flow control element within the conduit.
