Abstract

The centrifugal scuttle with anti-mist effect is particularly for use on the bridges of ships. The rotary scuttle (4, 5) is driven by a turbine (1) running on compressed air or gas. The exhaust from the turbine can be directed via ports (20) arranged radially on the front part of the turbine into the space enclosed between the fixed (8) and rotary (4) scuttle panes and the annular portions (2, 5). It can escape from this space via openings (22) in the latter.
