Abstract

Garment for tanning certain parts of the body comprises holes cut in the shape of motifs e.g. for decoration or advertising. The motifs are applied to the skin by the action of sun rays or UV rays. Means are provided for preventing shifting of the parts with the holes during movements of the body. Pref. the garment consists of stretch material which clings to the body, with elastic free edges for gripping the corresponding parts of the body, and with gussets or zones of decreasing elasticity at the joints to allow bending of the limbs without the holes sliding over the skin. Bands or threads may extend across the holes, to provide areas which are shaded to greater or less degrees.
