Abstract

The package comprises a parallelepipedal container which is open at the top and contains a number of small vessels contg. the cheese; these vessels are arranged side by side in the same plane and rest on the base. The lid has a peripheral ridge, projecting downwards, which penetrates into the container; it is also provided with a cavity which fits over corresp. projecting ridges on the edges of the container so that longitudinal or transverse movement is prevented. The bottoms of the containers are also provided with similar cavities so that they can be stacked one above the other without allowing any lateral movement. Pref. the containers are prepd. using polystyrene. The ridges and the peripheral ridges secure the perforated vessels during transport; at the same time they prevent any mixing of the whey and the curds.
