Abstract

A picture frame is made from four members which are flanged at the front, so as to retain the picture, and glass if required, and which are channel shaped at the rear. These are fitted together to form a rectangle by corner inserts which are fitted into the recessed channel portions of the members and locked by circular cam members. The picture is the inserted and locked by spring clips. These clips are L-shaped, and the shorter legs are inserted into the recessed channels so that the longer legs press against the back of the picture and hold it in position. The longer legs are curved to give a good spring action. The shorter legs are also slightly curved. Hooks for a cord for suspension of the picture are inserted in two opposed recessed channels.
