Abstract

The connection box, for telephone wires, has a central post to support the two semicircular halves of a connector (58) and openings in its base to admit cables. Two cables enter through small openings (21) in the bottom corners of the box and are held by posts (16) and hooks (14) on the side walls. The hooks accept eyelet tags crimped around the cables' outer sheaths. The cable wires are connected to the connector. The wires from cables entering through the slit opening in the centre of the base are connected together (64, 65) at their ends and looped around the cylindrical centre connector.
