Abstract

The union allows vapourisation of a liquid at the base of a vessel, being particularly for treating mastitis and similar ailments of cows and other domestic animals. It comprises a tubular union (3) screwing onto the outlet of a sprayer in place of the usual nozzle, and a hollow boss (8) at right angles to the union and connected to it. The boss has a male nipple accommodating a spray nozzle, and a flared-out portion (12) supporting a vessel (14) surrounding the nozzle, together with a drain pipe (15). The vessel can be a hollow body with an elastic lower edge engaging in a groove in the boss, while the drain pipe originates at a point above the groove.
