Abstract

The hopper is for granules being unloaded from a lorry and comprises a container whose sides lie parallel to the ground. The container has a conveyor and is closed by a articulated shutters which extend throughout its length. The shutters fold back on themselves to permit the granules lying on their surface to run into the container where they are then removed by teh conveyor. In their closed position they form a support platform which permits unloading of the product from the lorry directly onto their upper surface.
