Abstract

In this method, a cyclic change in magnetic flux is generated by means of correspondingly feeding a detection circuit (5) connected in series with the magnetic circuit. The time intervals of the current or voltage variation (Sa) with time of the detection circuit (5), generating this change in magnetic flux, are dependent on the magnetization to be detected in that the duty ratio of these time intervals is changed. This change is determined in a subsequent time interval detector (13), the output signal of which represents the desired detection signal (Sa'). The method exhibits high zero-point stability which respect to temperature-dependence, aging and dimensional tolerances of the magnetic circuit, and good detection sensitivity.
