Abstract

An electrical water heater is esp. for a domestic coffee maker. It has a single element baseplate (1) having a section (2) of stepped cylindrical elements to the base (4) of which the continuous flow heater (5) is removably attached, and with an opening (7) in its wall. The water container (9) is removably attached to the upper side of the other part of the baseplate which also carries the electrical switches and cables. A cover (14) protects the whole of the parts on the underside of the baseplate and forms the base on which the whole unit stands. The whole forms an appliance which easily takes down for replacement of any defective parts and does not require highly heat resistant materials for parts such as the water container.
