Abstract

The filter esp. for motor spirit, fuel oil and gas oil, consists of a casing composed of two parts, joined together to form a closed vessel. An ionising battery is provided in the vessel and acts on the fuel to facilitate its filtration through a filter cage or element. The filter cage is a unit consisting of a brass cage contg. in series, a glass fibre fabric, a filter paper fabric, a phosphated copper fabric, a glass fibre fabric, two fibre glass fabrics and a sulphated brass fabric, all joined closely together to form a piece of suitable shape for insertion in the filter body and with a mesh surface showing a more or less large gradation.
