Abstract

A hand held clay pigeon launcher is mounted on the end of a handle (8) like the shaft of a golf club, so that the disc (2) is discharged by a swinging movement without the aid of a launching mechanism. The disc (2) is retained in a guide portion (1) with a thicker plate portion (10) at the rear by a leaf spring (4). This is attached to a spindle mounted on the plate portion, with a coil spring and a butterfly nut (6) at the top to vary the tension of the leaf spring. The guide part (1) has a U section (3) along it, which engages the edge of the disc and guides it just before release.
