Abstract

The housing for a transformer station consists of prefricated horizontal boards or slats (1) with gaps between. Cool external air enters through the gaps and replaces the warms air rising and leaving the housing through a gap at the crest of the ridge roof. Each slat has a slot along its bottom edge and a ridge along its top edge. The gaps between slats are made by inserting appropriately shaped spacers (2) between adjacent slats. The slats are hollow. The roof gap may have a grill with an upturning of the lower roof panel below it to catch rain.
