Abstract

The bandpass waveguide filter consists of an even number of waveguide cavities each of which is connected to a shared central frequency. The cavities are arranged in two equal, interconnected, adjacent groups. Couplers connect the cavities within a group to one another. A second set of couplers connects together adjacent cavities in the two groups in one sense, whilst a third set connects these same cavities in the opposite to sense. Each of the cavities supports only the one mode. All couplers consist of slots.
