Abstract

The compsns. comprises (a) sec. alkyl sulphates derived from 10-18 C olefins (low crystalline fraction), (b) a sulphated alcohol- or alkylphenolethoxylate and/or (c) and alcohol - or alkylphenolethoxylate, opt. with (d) water. The system allows use of low crystalline fraction, alkyl sulphates (I) in the prodn. of washing agents, esp. for dish washing, with equal cleaning power to that obtd. with high crystalline fraction sec. alkyl sulphates (II). A dish washing agent comprises e.g. 75 pts. (I) from 14-15 C alpha-olefins and 25 pts. 9-11 C prim. alcohol ethoxylate condensed with 8 mols ethylene oxide.
