Abstract

Device for allowing control of humidity of a given place operates on Reuss's principle. It includers a hygrometer with electrical contacts which establishes the circuit either at the upper electrodes, which are supplied with a continuous current, or at the lower electrodes, which drain the electricity produced by the wall itself. Pref. the current of water created in the process is used either to remove the water from the walls, or to drain or irrigate the soil, or for passing insulating prods. e.g. silica gel beneath damp buildings. When the hygrometric state is lowered, the hygrometer needle cuts off current at the upper electrodes and establishes it with the lower electrodes.
