Abstract

The signal is read by a magnetic head from the card moved in front of it. an electronic decoder separates data signals from clock signals. It has a timer started when the read out signal changes. The bit value of the signals is tested during the time determined by the timer. When the signal changes at the end of scanning time, delivery of a clock pulse is released. The timer is a digital timer (19) controlled by a clock pulse generator (4) connected to the drive (2).
