Abstract

The solar heating unit has a number of oblong hollow components (2) with one or more passages (6) for fluid. These fit at each end into connectors (1), which in turn fit together, so as to form a unit through which fluid circulates. The connectors may have bosses tubular and by which they fit together to form a manifold,/also grooved protrusions (5), by which the components fit in them. The components and protrusions may be of rectangular sections, and the components and connectors can be each made in one piece and a moulding of heat-resistant plastics. The assembly may be mounted in an open-ended frame, the open end being covered by a sheet of at least semi-transparent material, to allow heating by the sun.
