Abstract

The ignition circuit, for an internal combustion engine, has a dual ignition system with a remote control arrangement. The system allows a conventional ignition procedure to take place if the electronic ignition system fails. The electronic ignition system contains an astable multivibrator. This astable multivibrator is designed to act as a a converter and it is coupled at its output via a transformer to a fullware rectifier. The multivibrator is supplied from the vehicle battery. The output of the rectifier is coupled to a thyristor/relay network.
