Abstract

The container (2), or bath, holding the frying oil (8) is separate from the outer casing (1) and fits inside it, being supported on guide rails. A surround (4) is fitted over the space between container and casing to seal this off. The heating element (7) is suspended from a box (6) hinged (5) to the casing at the rear of the fryer and the assembly can be swung upwards to clear the container. This is then pulled out in the manner of a drawer, after draining through an aperture (3) in the lower front. The container can then be removed to a more suitable area for cleaning.
