Abstract

The parent patent described a tuyere extractor consisting of a trolley with a rigid chassis supporting a frame mounted on pivots and fitted with thrust pads pushing against the furance casing. In the present invention, the frame is fitted with a pivot for a lever which is driven against a thrust pad mounted on the extractor shaft by a pneumatic hammer. The thrust pad is pref. located on a bush with a threaded bore screwed onto an external thread on the extractor shaft. The shaft can thus be subjected to repeated hammering.
