Abstract

The apparatus determines the angle of inclination especially in systems automatically controlling the position of the working components of coke levellers, land-improving installations such as drainage and soil conservation etc. Accuracy is increased by limiting the effect of disturbing vibrations of the non-protruding member. The angle is ascertained from the non-protruding member situated on the mounting axis. The inclination of the member is converted into an electrical signal. A vibration suppressor is provided for the non-protruding member. In the preferred embodiment this member is the the form of a ring (1) whose centre of gravity with respect to the mounting axis (3) is moved below the value of the square root of half the sum of the squares of the outer and inner radii of the ring.
