Abstract

The auditory prosthesis fits in the ear passage and is connected to an amplifier. The shank, which fits in the passage, is sealed by adding to the moulding, (obtained from an impression of the ear), an annular bead offset from the straight portion of the shank, which has bores calibrated in frequencies. The tip is composed of a hard and a flexible portion. The hard portion conducts the sound and forming the shank (E) with the bores, while the flexible portion is the annular bead (1) forming the seal. The two portions can from a homogeneous tip, without a visible join between them.
