Abstract

The processing circuit is used to reduce fractions of the colour carrier frequency signal in the video colour signal. It comprises a frequency selective network (8), for separating the fractions of the colour carrier frequency signal from the video signal and a signal limiting network (10), supplied with the separated fractions of the colour carrier frequency signal. The output of the signal limiting network (10) is supplied to an adder stage (9), also receiving the video signal with the fractions of the colour carrier frequency signal removed from it, the output of the adder stage (9) supplied to the output (12) of the processing circuit. The frequency selective network (8) may comprise a subtraction stage receiving the video colour signal and the video colour signal with the colour carrier frequency removed from it via a filter (6).
