Abstract

The precision adjustment device has an optical instrument comprises an enclosure, a lens carrying system (44) which supports an assembly of mobile lenses (40), and a translation system for displaying the lens carrier w.r.t. the enclosure. The translation system comprises a crystal assembly (38) having one or more films of crystals and a brass sheet which extends transversely w.r.t. the longitudinal access of the lens assembly. The crystal is connected to a voltage source which cause dilation and contraction of the crystal film w.r.t. the brass sheet and therefore produced a translational movement of the lens assembly w.r.t. the enclosure.
