Abstract

The inspection rig for rectangular section bars comprises a number of base blocks (1) spaced apart the length of the bar (11) for examination. A cradle (2) is provided in each block by two adjacent faces (9, 10) forming a seating. The bar is held in these cradles, its upper faces presented for inspection. It is turned over by arms (13) mounted as levers on a common shaft (3) and swinging upwards in unison under the bar. The nose of each arm is rounded to provide a smooth action. The common shaft is driven from a motor reduction unit (5, 6, 7, 8) and the fixture can be installed between the rollers of a conveyor.
