Abstract

The packaging machine has a vacuum chamber through which pockets are passed, filled with granular material and sealed before discharge from the machine. The vacuum chamber is divided into interconnected modules through which the pockets are sequentially passed for the packaging operations. The pockets pass through air locks upon entering and leaving the vacuum chamber.
