Abstract

The wristwatch has a numerical electronic display. The watch is divided up into three compartments. A central compartment, and two outer compartments arranged on either side of the central one. To these outer compartments the ends of the watch strap are fixed. The central compartment (B1) houses the watches electronic circuitry (E) and the numerical display. The end compartments contain two sets of batteries (P1, P2)(P3, P4). The battery pair (P3, P4) are replacement batteries and are inserted in place of the pair (P1, P2) when they are flat. The arrangement of the electronic and battery supplies enable a watch of reduced thickness to be manufactured.
