Abstract

The meteorological station has instrumentation visible through a protective window and is also provided with a direct reading rain gauge. The meteorological station is mounted on a column (3) which can be unlocked to rotate on a pillar fixed in the ground. The instruments are mounted in a box (4) and comprise a recording barometer (5), hygrometer (6) and a thermometer (7) which indicates maximum and minimum temperatures. These are mounted on a platform (13) above the base (14) to provide space for accessories. A plastic rain gauge (22) is mounted in an extension to the roof (18). The box front is covered by a tinted plastic window to permit observation of the instruments while providing protection from solar radiation.
