Abstract

A gas burner, the body of which has a cover sheet with gas outlet apertures, mounted over the gas outlet by elastic slide mountings such that the gas outlet is bounded of longitudinal and lateral edges, has the burner body (1) in the form of a circular cylinder sector at least in the region of the gas outlet (2). The projecting longitudinal edges (3, 4) lie on the jacket of the cylinder, whilst the lateral edges (5, 6) running between them, have a primary radius of curvature (R1). The cover sheet (7) has bent edges (8, 9) to engage the longitudinal edges (3, 4) and has a radius of curvature (R2) which is smaller than that (R1) of the lateral edges (51), causing the draught forces to be limited by the lateral (5) and longitudinal (3, 4) edges.
