Abstract

The door for use on houses can be left-or right-hand opening and comprises a panel with housings for the hinges. These housings are symmetrical in relation to the vertical axis of the front face. Because of the symmetrical structure of the hinge housings, it is possible to fix the hinges on the front face, symmetrically in relation to its vertical axis, both for right- and left-hand opening. Therefore, if the opening side of the door has to be changed, the door only has to be turned through 180 deg. around the vertical axis and it can then be hung after the hinges have been removed and replaced.
