Abstract

Insecticidal compsn. comprises (a) >=1 oxadiazolinone of formula (I) (R is 1-4C alkyl; X and Y are H, halo or CH3) and (b) a synergist (II) derived from nitrobenzene. Pref. 1-4 wt.pts. 2-propargyloxynitrobenzene or 2-propargyloxy-5-chloronitrobenzene are used per wt. pt. (I). (I) are known insecticides (JA 48-58140); when used with (II) their activity is much improved. Activity against flies; Tribolium, crickets and caterpillars of Plutella maculipennis and Pieris brassicae is exemplified. Compsns. are conventional with usual solid or liq. carriers or diluents, surfactants etc. and contain 0.005-80 wt. % active ingredients. They contain (as sprays) 5-200 g active ingredients per hectolit e and are applied at about 10 hectolitres/hectare.
