Abstract

The system of attachment is used to fix electrical resistors of a heat-resistant support. This support may consist of a glass ceramic cooker plate and the system is designed so that the resistors are insulated from the support. A protective layer of refractory material, e.g. alumina, is formed between the resistor and the support, and it has channels provided through the support. The channels are made at spaced points and they are used for locating mechanical means for holding the resistor in place relative to the support. The protective layer may be applied in a variety of ways including moulding spraying and sintering.
