Abstract

The colour display system may be used for recording X-ray spectra in e.g. medical radiography. The video signal for the display is produced by an X-ray camera which receives radiation which has passed through the subject under investigation. The signal is amplified conventionally and it is then colour encoded. The coding system is determined by the energy spectrum which is received by the camera. The energy spectrum may be displayed as an image directly on a colour CRT and a computer may be used in the sequence for analysis of the X ray spectrum.
