Abstract

The insulator is used to insulate and protect a connector clip fixed to a cable conductor and is in the form of a rectangular block, with rounded edges. Two stops are provided on the inner faces dies edges of the block, for abutment by the lateral arms of the clip, with ridges for centring the clip relative to the stops, or four stops positioned symmetrically are employed. The internal upper and lower edges of the block are each provided with a narrow ledge and/or two symmetrical narrow ledges. The insulator is designed, such that the orientation of the clip upon introduction into the insulator does not matter.
